About “Z for short”

“To write more, write more,” they say. It is so true. Starting in 2010, WordPress challenged their subscribers to write one post every day for a year and presented us with a daily writing prompt. When I joined the challenge in 2011, I was a reluctant writer. “The resistance is sometimes so strong that it seems like a physical barrier to overcome, despite my urge to write. When I cannot find the angle of an article immediately, I give up,” I wrote on day 6. I quickly overcame that reluctance and the writing was easy. My goal was to prove to myself that I could write whenever I wanted. I only had time for 98 posts, but I have kept on blogging ever since and learned a thing or two about writing and e-publishing.

That is what Z for short is all about: writing, reading and e-publishing. A short story or poem in between. The writing process intrigues me.

Z is short for my writing alias, Zol H. My name is Solveig Hansen, translator, online magazine editor, blogger and an avid mobile photographer. I write in Norwegian, which is my native language, and English.
